Addison Wesley have published more than their fair share of the classic books for software engineering and programming over the past few years. Because some (though not all) of these books have been around for a few years, they don't get highlighted in the way they deserve. In my opinion these are some of the very best books n the site, when you take into account the depth of knowledge that has gone into them, and the depth of the insight they can provide to thinking developer doing his job. I recommend each and every one to you.

These books have been chosen because they are all of general relevance to anyone building a web site, and are very unlikely to go out of date with the next upgrade of your software. Most have been around a while and have stood the test of time.

Business books are worth the money even if you get just one or two ideas from chapter 1. But beware - there's a lot of flannel out there! One must always avoid the "fat-cat business boss becomes light-weight management windbag" type books.
- History - Latest Books
History book readers are lucky, because there's a surfeit of good stuff. Compare this with sport for instance where much is ghost-written cash-in dross. My own preference is to go for the shorter ones which seem to give you an analysis or a flavour of the time and the situation. Too much fact and minutiae can end up telling you less.
- Young Readers 6 -9 Years
These are some of the very best books for children when they are starting to read for themselves, but before they can manage Swallows and Amazons or something as big as Harry Potter. I may have got the ages wrong for some children, but you'll see where I'm coming from.
- Resources for Teachers
There are lots of good resouces out there for teachers. Here is a small selection of the best ones.

This gives you some idea of all the stuff out there. It's very hard to find a lot of this in the high street, and most web sites make nothing of it - so you wouldn't know it was there.
